Gold, Silver, and Crystal were the first Pokemon games with full color, taking place in the Johto Region. They are playable on the Gameboy Color. In Gold/Silver, you start out with either Chikorita, Totodile, or Cyndaquil, and the main character is a boy. In Crystal, you can decide to be a girl or boy.
