There are many Pokemon lovers on the planet, but also many Pokemon haters. I personally think everyone should have the right to like what they like and hate what they like, but some idiots start flaming Pokemon because of their different beliefs. Usually they think those who like Pokemon have no lives, or that the series is idiotic and childish. Well, Harry Potter is technically a children's book, but adults like it, too. Why should Pokemon be any different?

If you like something, then you have every right to keep liking it regardless of what others think. In the case of anti-Pokemon-ers, they're the ones who have no life, particularly since they spend time doing something so pointless as to try to bash others for what they like. So, those type of people are best ignored. What you shouldn't do is flame back at them and start defending Pokemon. Don't do that. It's a waste of your time and energy.
